Warranties and terms of Business
Payment is accepted by Bank transfer (subject to checking) or cash. . A deposit is required to secure a vehicle – usually £300. If for whatever reason the balance of the purchase price is not paid within 3 weeks the deposit is non returnable to cover administration and further advertising costs.
We are now able to provide warranties with most cars over £1000 that we sell. Some older and higher mileage cars and cars sold for less than £1,000 do not come with a warranty. Other older vehicles come with a one month warranty. Full details of all warranties are available on request. In the interests of clarity - warranties do not cover 'wear and tear' ie items that will normally wear over the life of the vehicle (such as tyres, brakes, belts etc). Most electrical items (including batteries) are not covered. The warranties do cover many items if they 'break', eg starter motor, power steering pump, turbo's and many suspension (but not all) items.
We always strive to look after our customers, however under no circumstances will work paid for and carried out by other garages be considered as part of any warranty and costs will not be refunded. It is the customers responsibility to return the car to us if attention is needed. By purchasing a vehicle from The Estate Car Company the customer agrees to the above terms and conditions. If, for whatever reason, a vehicle is agreed to be returned to stock and money refunded, there is a minimum administration charge of £250 to cover vehicle usage, increased vehicle mileage, depreciation, warranty reimbursment, re-advertising and re-registration costs.
